APR software opgradering til den lille 1.8 TSI der går fra 192 HK og op til 252 HK på V-power på stage 1 alene og 262 HK med stage 2 hvis man har skiftet forrør.


Der er lavet software til både 95 og 98 oktan og nogen også til 102 eller 104 oktan så man kan vælge hvad man vil køre på selv. Der må godt tankes højere oktan end der er valgt software til men der må ikke køres på lavere oktan end programmet er lavet til. På en del af bilerne kan der skiftes program via fartpiloten så kan selv kan vælge med 3 eller 4 forskellige programmer. Det vil sige at man kan have standard, tunet til 95 og tunet til 98/V-power liggende på ECU'en og selv skifte efter behov, smart i disse dage når der bliver længere og længere mellem tankstationer med "rigtig" benzin. Denne funkton har dog en merpris i forhold til single programmerne.

APR yder 30 dages fuld tilfredshed eller pengene tilbage. Det vil sige at hvis man ikke er tilfreds så skal man forbi og få flashet bilen tilbage til standard igen og så får man pengene tilbage. Vær opmærksom på at dette kun gælder ved tuning på original turbo. Kører man med opgraderet turbo og vælger software til dette gives der ikke pengene tilbage medmindre dette er skriftlig godkendt på forhånd.

APR’s ECU upgrades are one of the best horsepower-per-pound modifications for the new 1.8T engine. The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade is designed to work without requiring other changes to the vehicle’s hardware. With the ECU Upgrade alone, APR’s Calibration Experts measured higher peak figures of 288 ft-lbs of torque and 252 horsepower with 98 RON fuel. Large gains were seen throughout the power band, including an additional 53 ft-lbs of torque and 65 horsepower. The increase in horsepower and torque directly translates to an exceptionally quicker vehicle! Simply by adding a high flow downpipe and APR's Stage II ECU Upgrade, power figures grew further to 262 HP and 316 FT-LBS of torque with an additional 80 FT-LBS of torque and 71 HP over stock!

Acceleration Enhancements:
Beyond horsepower and torque enhancements, APR’s Calibration Engineers were able to increase the acceleration rate of the vehicle through other calibrations changes. Ignition delay is reduced resulting in a more responsive pedal without altering overall throttle sensitivity. Furthermore, throttle lag commonly noticed at slow speeds and while reapplying throttle has been reduced.

Increased Fuel Economy:
APR’s Calibration Engineers paid close attention to several parameters directly related to fuel economy, especially while cruising at highway speeds. Depending on driving style and fuel quality, better miles per gallon may be achieved.

Speed Limiter:
APR’s ECU upgrade increases the vehicle's top speed limiter for blistering sprints around the track or across the Autobahn without the speed limiter shutting down the fun.

Left Foot Braking:
APR's Left Foot Braking feature allows more control over the vehicle’s throttle. The factory equipped vehicle's throttle input is disabled while pressing the accelerator and brake at the same time. Left Foot Braking, a common motorsport driving technique, allows the driver complete control over the vehicle’s throttle and braking system, which may give the vehicle the edge it needs at the track.

On the highly modified end, this often allows APR to make turbo upgrades operate without the need for external manual controllers.
